PureGym Barnstaple is on the riverside development, Anchorwood Retail Park, which is accessed by the A3125, via the A361. You'll see us opposite Next, DFS and The Food Warehouse. Free on-site parking* is available for members.
We want to keep PureGym a safe environment for everyone to work out. If you plan to train at night or during un-staffed hours (check your gym’s hours here), please read our unstaffed hours document here to ensure your safety when at the gym.

Our gym in Barnstaple has a huge range of high quality gym equipment, including 2 Olympic weightlifting platforms, a rig with 4 adjustable bench stations, a squat rack and bench press, plate loaded leg press, and huge range of cable and resistance machines. Prefer cardio? We’ve got treadmills, bikes, steppers, and more to choose from.

How to find us
By car: Our postcode is EX31 2AA. From the large roundabout, head towards the river and take the slip road off to the left. At the mini roundabout, take the 2nd exit into Anchorwood Retail Park. You can park for free in the on-site car park. *Parking restrictions may apply. Please check in the car park before you enter the gym. PureGym is not responsible for any parking fines.
By bus: Nine buses stop at the nearby Sticklepath bus stop. Simply cross the road from the bus stop, head towards the bridge and take the first left down the path towards the retail park.
By train: Barnstaple station is an eight-minute walk away. From the station head north on Station road and cross the A3125 close to the bridge and head down into the back of the retail park.
By bike: There are loads of bike racks on the retail park between the two main units of shops.
